Gerard has had a varied career having briefly worked in the building industry he then switched to Interior Design which was much more fun. The recession of the early 90s meant the Design business went into steep decline and so at that time Gerard decided to move into medicine and started Medical studies at Kings College. Unfortunately ill people didn't agree with him and so he switched to Computer Science.
Since finishing University Gerard has worked for a number of large and small Media organisations working in such diverse fields as design, marketing, development and strategic planning. These organisations include Sky, BBC, BT, Tiscali, 20th Century Fox and numerous NewMedia organisations. In 2004 Gerard setup his own design and development company, Whitecurve.
Since joining the Central London Humanist Group in April 2008, Gerard has redesigned all of the Central London Humanist Groups Web and Meetup sites.
In his spare time Gerard enjoys reading, evening strolls, meeting famous people in unlikely places, watching lots of films with subtitles and since May 2009 swimming 3 times a week.
